Background

Swindon Viewpoint (or simply Viewpoint) was founded on 11 September 1973, initially as an experiment community cable television. Its experimental phase would end in 1976 and the channel would be sold to Swindonians for £1, thus becoming Britain's first public-access television.

ID (1975-1985?)

Visuals: Six short, thick white lines with a thin border around them appear, three of them zooming in and the other three zooming out. The lines are all arranged and rotated to have a somewhat "triangular" appearance. Once the two sets of lines meet and stop zooming, six short angled lines fade in between the straight lines, forming a snowflake pattern. Afterwards, the company name in white zooms in from the center and places itself under the logo.

Technique: Cel-animation.

Audio: A 21-note acoustic tune.

Availability: It served as a station ID.
