Visuals: On a blue background, a TV tube shape is seen on the left side of the screen with white striping (possibly to represent static) inside of it, and the static slides to the right to reveal "SYNDI" in the same styling, as well as 2 bracket-like shapes to represent the tube shape. Once the static finishes sliding, it disappears via a "scratching" lines effect and forms into the text "CAST", forming the name "SYNDICAST". Once its finished, "SERVICES INC" appears below, both inside and outside the TV tube.
Technique: Analog computer animation.
Audio: None. DC Follies has the last note of the Sid & Marty Krofft Pictures theme play over this logo.
Availability: It was seen on season one episodes of DC Follies (most episodes may use the Access Syndication logo instead, but iTunes prints have it intact), and the last two seasons of The Mike Douglas Show (after Group W dropped the series).
2nd Logo (January 31-July 19, 1987)
Visuals: On a black background, the text "SYNDICAST", in the same font as before, but now in a metallic golden color, slides across the screen diagonally from right to left as 2 gold brackets zoom out from above and twirl around before settling into their diagonally-angled place. As they do so, "SYNDICAST" comes in from the left while "PREMIERE SHOWCASE" comes in from the right, both of them with a psuedo-3D effect and at a diagonal angle. As they come together, they glow red.
Technique: Analog computer animation.
Audio: A portion of Olympic Champion Fanfare by Keith Mansfield.
Availability: It was seen on an airing of The 44th Golden Globe Awards and S.N.A.F.U.: The World's Screwiest Foul Ups.
