1st Logo (1966-1977)
Nickname: "NBC's Canadian twin"
Logo: On a black background, three vertical bars in the colors green, red and blue appear one-by-one from left ro right. As the last bar appears, The red bar transforms into a rounded square outline, while the green and blue bars are flipped horizontally until they’re inside the red box, with the green bar being above the blue bar. The 2 bars shrink by themselves until they form the green letter “T” at the top and the blue “M” at the bottom, which is against a white backdrop. As the formation finishes, the box shrinks to the top-left corner, as three curves in the colors blue, red and green appear from the right side and place themselves at the bottom of the screen and the other half of the curves fade in shortly after. This is then followed by a yellow bulging semi-circle with a white circle which has 2 curved triangles sticking out and a horizontal red curve above itwiping in from bottom to top, revealing that the shapes form an abstract rooster crowing which appears to be below the "TM" logo. It stays still for the last 5 seconds.
Variant: One variant exists where we fade in to the transformation of the 3 colored bars described above.
FX/SFX: The shapes appearing, flipping and transforming.
Music/Sounds: A held bass note with a descending pizzicato, followed by a flute theme with an announcer saying “L'émission qui suit est télédiffusé en couleur.”.
Availability: Extinct.
2nd Logo (1970)
Nickname: "NBC's Canadian twin II"
Logo: It’s just the abstract crowing rooster on a black background.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: An announcer saying the same dialogue from the previous logo.
Availability: Extinct.
3rd Logo (1972)
Logo: We see a sketch of various abstractly drawn plants with a bird resting on one of the necks. On the top right corner is the “TM” square but in B&W.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: An announcer saying “Ici Télé-Métropole”.
Availability: Extinct.
4th Logo (1977-1984)
Logo: On a black background, we see a lavender metallic rounded square outline rotating clockwise, along with 2 metallic letters “TM” but more warped rotating counter-clockwise. The objects spin about 2 times until they face forward.
FX/SFX: Live-action.
Music/Sounds: A synthesized orchestral fanfare.
Availability: Extinct.
5th Logo (1979)
Logo: On a space background, we see various copies of the "TM" inside of the rounded square outline in the form of a rainbow flipping to the right side. We zoom away as the copies continue appearing/flipping. As the last copy appears, it reveals a rounded green square right next to the blue rounded box with the curved "T" and the warped "M", which flashes for less than a second. Shortly after, "TELE-METROPOLE" appears from the center, which gradually zooms in leaving a trail and places itself below the green square and the "TM" square.
FX/SFX: Scanimation.
Music/Sounds: A funky synth orchestral tune.
Availability: Extinct.
6th Logo (1984)
Logo: We first see an image of the Montreal skyline. We then see a bi-colored rounded square along with the “TM” square but metallic flipping and rapidly zooming in towards the screen, and stops when it gets close. At the moment it stops, the squares shine.
FX/SFX: The squares flipping, zooming and shining.
Music/Sounds: An upbeat synth tune.
Availability: Extinct.
