Background

TNT is a Russian TV channel that was launched on January 1st, 1998 by Mediamost holding. After the liquidation of Mediamost in April 2001, the channel fell into the hands of Gazprom-Media. Since 2003, TNT is oriented mainly on low-grade pop culture and cheap reality shows.



1st Logo (2003-2008)

Visuals: On a white background, there are three boxes, each colored red, blue and again red. Inside the boxes are the letters "THT".

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appeared on early series.

2nd Logo (2008-2012)

Visuals: On a black background with some purple and pink bokeh lights, a bright light illuminates the center, turning the background white, then the screen zooms out to reveal three gold blocks with some decorative patterns and red and blue gem-borders reading "THT", and the logo shines.

Technique: CGI, but the TNT blocks are two-dimensional.

Trivia: It is based on a common TV ident.

Audio: A triumphant build with some shining sounds.

Availability: Appears on The Best Movie.

3rd Logo (2010)


Visuals: On the bluish-white bokeh background, three gold blocks from before fly in from the bottom and forms the logo from before, but in CGI.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Several whooshes and an opening theme to the film.

Audio Variant: On Nasha Russia: Eggs of Fate, Gasterbeiter Ravshan (portrayed by Mikhail Galustyan) talks to Jumshud (portrayed by Valeri Makdiash) that the film's beginning, he then commentates on the logo:"Oh! Gold-a blocks. Sun, Sun. (gasp) Three letters-a: T-N-T. Only needs a television and everyone-a will pay attention-a. The only thing-a I know what it standed for-a.", but when we cut to black, he said "It went dark.", then it goes on to the Comedy Club Production logo.

Availability: Only appeared in Nasha Russia: Eggs of Fate. Unknown if it appeared in other films.

4th Logo (September 7, 2012-)

Visuals: On a black background, three gold blocks are seen, reading the name.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the movie or show.

Availability: Appears on Branded (known as Moscow 2017 in Russia) and currently used on TV shows.
