Background
TV São Luis is a Brazilian television station owned by Grupo Zildeni Falcão, based in São Luis, the capital of the state of Maranhão, in the Mid-North region of Brazil. Formed in 1989, it was an affiliate of Rede Manchete before changing sides to RecordTV (Known as Rede Record at that time) in 1997, due to the former's audience decline. It switched affiliation again in 2004 to RedeTV!. It has operated on canal 8 (channel 8) until 2018, when it changed its channel to 41.

3rd Logo (2016-2021)
The video of this logo may be too loud or severely distorted. |
Visuals: The sequence starts with a red background, which rapidly zooms out to reveal a sphere. As it zooms out, four copies of the sphere in different opacities zoom out on the same path as two cyan curve shapes with a sharp point at one end zoom out from either side of the screen and rotate around the ball, with six different copies of the shapes in different opacities flying behind. The shapes turn and gradually move closer to the sphere as they slow down and stop before "TV SÃO LUÍS" fades in below, with "CANAL 8.1" and the company's website fading in beneath
Variant: By 2017, the logo's background highlights the headquarters of Grupo Zildeni Falcão, in Bairro da Areinha, São Luis.
Technique: CGI. The background in the later variant is live action.
Audio: A droning 5-note looping electronic jingle filled with whooshes and robotic noises with a descending synth once the logo completes itself. The earlier 2016 version is louder, making the initial whooshes sound more like an explosion.
Audio Variant: An Axé tune on the "Bumba-meu-boi" variant.
