Background

Tadpole Kids is the children's division of Tadpole Entertainment, which would later be acquired by Amity Entertainment.

Logo (2002-2005)

Visuals: There are some white objects and a green object underneath a water-like background, which has a noticeable swirl pattern in the middle of the screen. The green object swirls around as the white objects reveal themselves as "TADPOLE" in a arched Impact font, and "KIDS" in a blue oblong with wider text. The green thing then crashes out of the water filter, showing itself as a cartoony tadpole, and bubbles eventually spread out as it fills the screen up. Falling back down onto the water, where it appears to wave at the viewer(s), it and the words zoom out a bit as the background mostly turns dark blue via a iris effect save for the swirl in the water, and the tadpole reveals its other arm. Bubbles appear all around the background.

Variant: An opening version used for VHS releases, has the print logo on a white background, with "presents" is seen in a green brush-stroke font.

Technique: CGI. A still graphic for the early version.

Audio: The sounds of the tadpole and the water splashing. The early version is silent.

Availability: Seen on PBS prints and DVDs of season 6 of The Big Comfy Couch.
