Background
Takara Production, established in 1950 and located in Kyoto, Japan, was a film production company founded by Masatsugu Takamura. It opened its studios in 1953 and is notable for launching director Tai Kato and for being the entry point into the film industry for assistant directors Sadao Funatoko and Tang Shunki. However, the company went bankrupt in 1958. [1]
