Background

In 2016, Tavis Smiley renamed his company, The Smiley Group, Inc., to Tavis Smiley Television and Film. The company produced The Tavis Smiley Show from there until Smiley got caught up in the growing sex scandal that had already ensnared PBS late-night stablemate Charlie Rose just a few weeks before. What happened to the company after that remains unknown.
