Background

Telescene was a Canadian television production company based in Montreal, which closed down in 2001. Founded by producer Neil JP Légerin in 1977, Telescene produced commercials, documentaries, feature films and TV shows, such as Big Wolf on Campus.

1st Logo (October 29, 1991-1993)

Logo: On a black background, we see a white flash that covers the entire screen. Then, we see the text "TELESCENE" in yellow. Then, we see a blue line that underlines the text.

FX/SFX: The appearance of the text with the flash and underlining the text.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.

Availability: Rare. Only seen on Urban Angel.

Editor's Note: The logo itself is too simple and it may be a prototype of the next logo.

2nd Logo (July 20, 1997-May 13, 2002)

Logo: On a black background, we see a red flashlight turn on and move around. Shortly, a green one appears and does the same thing, as well as a blue one. As they move around the area, we can see the words "TELESCENE" over the flashlights. They then all face one direction as a little flash occurs, and the words "TELESCENE" turn white. The flashlights become still and are all facing one direction.

Variants: A shorter version exists.

FX/SFX: The flashlights moving and the flash.

Music/Sounds: A horn tune with a two-note flute at first, but the strings rise in tune and it stops at a high tune at the end, along with a one-note piano. The sounds of the flashlights are heard too.

Music/Sounds Variants: On the short version, the theme fades in with the high note strings, and the one-note piano is absent.

Availability: Can be seen on some TV series and films, such as Student Bodies and Big Wolf on Campus.

Editor's Note: None.
