Background

Novosti was the main news broadcaster of TV USSR before introducing Vremya in 1968.

Visuals: On a space background, there is a hugely stretched 2D render of the Earth with the other half having the colors inverted. A satellite suddenly appears in front of the Earth and orbits around the earth for a period of time. While this is happening, a circle consisting of "T" and "H" fade in within the Earth. Following this, "ТЕЛЕВИЗИОННЫЙ" fades in above the globe and "ВЫПУСК НОВОСТЕЙ" fades in underneath, both of which are in an arched format.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: A constant beeping noise accompanied by an eight-note vibrating xylophone tune.

Availability: It was so far only known to appear on a special program known as Двадцать пять лет телевидению. It may has also appeared on news broadcasts during its timespan.
