Background

Tetra Films is Alan Horrox's production company that was founded in 1992 after Thames Television had lost its ITV franchise. Its first production was the 1992 version of The Tomorrow People.

1st Logo (November 18, 1992-March 9, 1995)

Visuals: On a gray marble background, there is a black box with a white streak and a blue outline part. The gold streak then draws in, then the blue words "TETRA FILMS" in 3D zooms out. The word "PRODUCTION" fades in below.

Variants:

  • On the first series of the 1992 version of The Tomorrow People, the logo is inside a tunnel.
  • Sometimes, a copyright stamp is shown below.
  • On later series of the 1992 version of The Tomorrow People, the word "PRODUCTION" is deleted, and info for either Thames Television and/or Nickelodeon is shown below, along with a copyright stamp.
  • On OWL TV, the word "FOR CHANNEL FOUR" is shown below.
  • A still version exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Tetra Films programmes, like OWL TV, The Tomorrow People, Mike and Angelo and Rainbow Toy Shop.

2nd Logo (March 15, 1995-March 7, 2000)

Visuals: On a black background is the same Tetra Films logo from before, only the text is in a different font, and it was in 2D with a white outline.

Variants:

  • In its later years, "PRODUCTION" is shown below.
  • Sometimes, a copyright stamp is shown below.
  • On early Cone Zone episodes, the logo is shown next to the 1995 Carlton UK Productions logo.
  • On the first episode of Cone Zone, the word "FOR CARLTON UK PRODUCTIONS", along with a copyright date in blue is shown below.
  • On the 1997 version of The Canterville Ghost, the logo is stretched.

Technique: None.

Audio: The end theme of the show/movie.

Availability: Seen on later Mike and Angelo episodes from the era, as well as Cone Zone and Rainbow Days.
