Background

In 2001, Gary Smith and Dwight Hemion decided to break up its partnership, and thus the company was renamed to The Gary Smith Company. He would later be semi-retired in the late 2000s, as he actively stopped producing television specials.

Logo (January 5, 2002-2009)

Visuals: On a black background, there are two rectangular stylized letters "G" and "S" flying toward the center, while settling to the center. The text "THE GARY SMITH COMPANY" in a Bank Gothic font blurs in below the logo.

Variant: A still version of the logo exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None or the end theme of the show. CBS airings used a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on AFI specials, The Mary Tyler Moore Reunion, Emmy's Greatest Moments and 100 Years of Hope and Humor.
