The Landsburg Company was Alan Landsburg's second (and last) production company, established in 1985 after he left his former production company that same year. It ceased to exist in 2001 with Landsburg's retirement. Landsburg died on August 14th, 2014.
Logo (1985-May 13, 2001)
Nickname: "TLC"
Logo: On a black background, we see a stylized "TLC" in metallic light blue, revealing upward, and under it is "THE LANDSBURG COMPANY".
Variants:
- Sometimes it swings down from the top of the screen.
- Sometimes, "THE LANDSBURG COMPANY" fades in below.
- There is also a still variant of this logo.
- A B&W variant exists.
FX/SFX: The logo revealing upward, downward, or none.
Music/Sounds: A five note synthesized tune. In most cases, the closing theme of the TV movie, a soundbite, a CBS generic theme, or none. Nightmare in Columbia County has a different low three-note synth theme.
Availability: Uncommon. It is preserved at the end of every Landsburg production, typically followed by the CBS Television Distribution logo. Seen for example on A Triumph of the Heart: The Ricky Bell Story.
