Background
This is writer/director Stephen Sommers' (The Mummy, Van Helsing, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) production company.
Logo (August 1, 2008- )
Visuals: The screen fades in on a desert, and the camera follows the shadow of a biplane flying above the desert. The camera pans upwards to reveal the plane itself, flying towards the sun. As it passes over a dune, the action freezes and becomes an illustration surrounded by black borders. The shadowy side of the dune forms an "S" as the name "SOMMERS COMPANY", set in a Baskerville typeface, all in caps, flips in letter-by-letter below.
Trivia: The logo is a callback to a scene from The Mummy, one of the films Sommers worked on.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A majestic fanfare, accompanied with the sound of a plane flying.
Audio Trivia: This is actually a slightly abridged excerpt from Alan Silvestri's score to The Mummy Returns. (More specifically, the track "Medjai Commanders", in which the snippet can be found from 0:16-0:37.)
Availability: Appeared at the end of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and Odd Thomas.
