Background

The Video Bancorp was an American bootleg/public domain distribution company based in Canoga Park, California. Little is known about this company due to scarce promotion in media. The company closed down in 1990 and might have lasted for no more than 5 years. Among their lineup was "The Best of Popeye", a VHS with 3 public domain Popeye cartoons, in which one copy was recorded on a hardcore pornographic film. Because of this, it gained negative traction as a direct result of an editorial from Utah newspaper Deseret News, in 1993.

Nicknames: "The Unsaved MS Paint Project", "Thanks You for Using our Product"

Logo: On a white square, there is a tricolor line with red, white, and blue near the top of it. Above it is "the Video bancorp", with the "V" being much larger and drawn with one of the digital brushes. Below it is "thanks you for using our product" in the same bold/italic font. All this appears to be taken from a shot of the logo in the program it was created in (presumably Microsoft Paintbrush), complete with the interface peeking from the left side.

FX/SFX: None, a still photo is shown.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Extremely rare. This may have been seen on the end of their tapes.

Editor's Note: It has been known for quite some time in the logo community as a very cheap logo, mostly on the same levels as the 2nd FADYO logo.
