Background

The Walk-Up Company is the production company of Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, founded in 2019 during the duo's expansion at 20th Century Fox Television (now 20th Television), with former Comedy Central executive Adam Londy named as head of development. The company name comes from The Walk-Up, a fictional sitcom which Aptaker and Berger filmed and created after winning a $10,000 grant at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2005 which was about five strangers who meet on Craigslist after graduating from college and living together in a small sixth-floor apartment in the realm of New Girl. It is also named after the walk-up apartment the two occupied together during their time at college.
