Background

Tianshan Film Studio was founded circa 1958 by three Chinese film producers and writers. This is one of the smallest film studios in mainland China behind Inner Mongolia Film Studio and Guangxi Film Studio. Originally called Xinjiang Film Studio circa 1958. It was changed to New Xinjiang Film Studio circa 1963, then changed to current name called Tianshan Film Studio circa 1968. It produced adult-oriented and Indian-Uyghur historical/bible films. Many works are The Turmoil Quelling In The Desert (1986), Black Fire (1993), Chasing the Devil (1992) and Red Grass Sands (1999). Some 1960s early Xinjiang Film Studio former films are short-lived works, but still no movies are produced until 1964 when it's closed early as a short-lived film studio in the Republic of China, because the name of the countries was a Uyghur short-lived film studio in the probably 1958. Many different ethnic film workers is working on the studio system factory includes Uyghur, Kazakh, Tajik, Uzbek, Tatar, Xibe, Hui, Manchu and Han. In probably 2014 Tianshan Film Studio was folded by Xinjiang Film Group, then folds into Tianshan Film Group (Note: Not to be confused with Ningxia Film Group, the smallest film company in China).
