Background

Odyssey Entertainment was a London-based film sales and financing company, which was started in late 2001 by Louise Goodsill and industry veteran Ralph Kamp (former CEO of Icon Productions). It ceased trading due to financial struggle on August 2009 and it was officially renamed as Timeless Films, which Kamp established with his two children Rebecca and Gareth. Today, the company specializes in the development, financing, production and distribution of animated and family films.

Logo: There is a large black sphere which rises up, and light appears behind it, and the figure moves left to become a moon. There is sea water below. Another light spot comes from the right, revealing the name, and poses as a second moon turned opposite direction inside of the first moon.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A soft sound of wind, followed by a wolf howling.

Availability: Uncommon. Can be found on The Phantom of the Opera, Happily N'Ever After and international prints of Space Chimps.

1st Logo (October 7, 2010-2022)


Logo: The camera cuts from black to the inside of a clock made out of silver pointers, brown cogs, and a bright yellow texture around it. The camera starts at one of the cogs, then pans around it turning upward, revealing the texture and the other parts coming down to form the clock. As the camera zooms toward a comfortable position, an outlined border with the words "TIMELESS FILMS" on the top and bottom, respectively, is revealed. The camera spins and sits at a position away from the circle, as the parts all finish positioning themselves, forming the clock.

Trivia: An animation error can be seen near the conclusion of the logo, where one of the bottom-left cogs clips through one of the silver parts of the clock.

Variant: A short version of the logo, starting when the camera reveals the text, is used in most films, along with an abridged version of the music.

After it reaches the center, the camera zooms out from the clock and reveals the company name, this time in the center of the screen, with each of the pieces that comprise "TIMELESS" zooming out separately. Two lines with the word "FILMS" spliced inbetween them is seen below.

Technique: Detailed CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: So far, the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: It first appeared on the Timeless Films website in August 2022, and later debuted on the Netflix film Scrooge: A Christmas Carol on November 18. It is expected to be seen on future releases from Timeless.
