Background

Tip-Top Productions (or TTP) is an independent film company founded in 2011.

1st Logo (June 29, 2018-May 13, 2022)

Visuals: On a black background with a white box in the center, "TIP" tilted upside down falls from the top from the box and flips over on the center. The same animation is applied to "TOP" but on the bottom. "PRODUCTIONS" then slides from the right before a faceless man with a moustache wearing a top hat and a tuxedo while holding a cane walk from the left before stopping by the company's name to face the screen. He then tips his hat to us.

Variants:

  • An early, inverted variant was used on Calibre.
  • A closing variant has the whole logo still and in white excluding the box.

Technique: Choppy 2D animation of the text sliding and the man walking.

Audio: A classy violin melody and the sounds of walking. When the melody finishes, the man says "Cheers!". Otherwise, the opening/ending of the film.

Availability: Seen on releases from the company starting with Calibre and until Monstrous.

2nd Logo (September 15, 2023-)

Visuals: The sequence is first set on a dark, blue-tinted open alley of a Victorian-era street. There are two vehicles on both sides of the screen, the right of which is driving. A man in a top hat and a suit is seen walking towards the right while the lampposts (3 on both rows) light up one row at a time. When the man tips his hat, the stacked and fancy company name with a glow effect "Tip-Top Productions", the latter word of which is smaller, slides up while the letters not in sync. The background crossfades to black, leaving just the man and the text on screen.

Technique: Live-action and CGI.

Audio: A tender, high note string fanfare with descending flute notes at the beginning. The buzzing of the lampposts when they light up and the wheels rolling on the vehicle are also heard.

Availability: The logo made its debut on The Inventor.
