Background
Todd-AO DVD is the DVD authoring unit of the Todd-AO company in 1998 via acquisition of Pascal Video.
Logo (1999-October 23, 2001, 2004-05)
The logo starts at 3:09.
Visuals: On a picture of a DVD disc acting as a background, there is the Todd-AO DVD logo in a black copy, a white one and a blue one, zooming together and combining. The logo zooms out and hits the background, making a water splash effect that plays slowly.
Variant: On the 1999 DVD of New Christmas Classics Series, a still version appeared on a black background and the logo is silver.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: A harp flourish, which soon blends into a bell flourish.
Availability:
- Seen at the end of the Artisan Entertainment DVDs of The Tangerine Bear, The Substitute 4: Failure Is Not an Option, and The Miracle Maker: The Story of Jesus.
- It also appears on the 2000 Trimark DVD of Hercules in New York, and the Viz Video DVDs such as the 2004-05 reissues of Pokémon: Psychic Surprise and Picture Perfect as well on some Sony Music Video DVDs.
