Per the aforementioned in other edit summaries friend of my stepmom who worked there, the company's fate is clear. Spark did so poorly that execs desperately tried to expand The Nut Job because it at least did well. When Nut Job 2 failed as well the studio struggled to make a 3rd movie and series with their budget before a very nasty layoff cancelled everything. Mystery solved. Feel free to use this summary as proof of their fate elsewhere.

Background

ToonBox Entertainment was a Canadian animation studio that was founded in June of 2008. It is best known for the 2014 animated film, The Nut Job.

1st Logo (June 28, 2010-January 17, 2014)

Nickname: "ToonBox Block"

Logo: On a black background, we see the 3 letters "T", "B", and "E" together in a block form. Then, two "O"'s moves down and one "O" up and flash as the other letters in "TOONBOX" move in from the left and right. The text "ENTERTAINMENT" appears, the first two "O"'s blink like eyes, and the logo shines.

FX/SFX: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on The Nut Job and Bolts and Blip.

2nd Logo (April 14-August 11, 2017)

Nickname: "ToonBox Block II"

Logo: On a black background, the "TBE" block from before flies in. The background color changes to gray with a flashing light as the "TOONBOX ENTERTAINMENT" text appears at the bottom. The background once again turns to black.

Variant: On The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, the logo is shorter.

FX/SFX: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on Spark: A Space Tail and The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature.
