Background
Top Shelf Productions, is always a leader in New Zealand television and film production, which usually has a long and very successful history in programme making ever, particularly in the documentary and factual series genres.
1st Logo (1994-2009)
Visuals: On a pale green-white gradient background, there is an animated illustration of a kitchen shelf with pans, pots (with a green plant which is half-grown on top of one of them), some books, some plates and many other material rises from the bottom of the screen, and then the company's name "Top Shelf Productions" with "TOP SHELF" grown larger and "productions" in a little narrow and similar font appears, rising from the bottom part of the screen, does the same position as the shelf and all of this animation stops to where the company name ceases rising and starts to make a bounce on top of the shelf, like the company's name itself says, into where it faces the viewer, the animated illustration of the shelf then disappears and sometimes a copyright information appears below.
Technique: Digital ink-and-paint.
Audio: Either a bounce noise, a violin symphony or an end theme.
Availability: It was usually seen on many old Top Shelf productions, for example: Swimming Lessons, Lloyd Geering - Modern Philosopher, Th' Dudes, The Shadow of Vietnam, An Immigrant Nation - The Footprints of the Dragon, Flatmates, Velvet Dreams, All About Eve and many other old TSP-produced material from that era.
2nd Logo (2009-)
Visuals: On a black background, a white rectangle whooshes from the right, followed by a yellow rectangle, then the light blue, green, purple, red and blue ones being placed in position to where the words "TOP SHELF" are being wiped in. The background is then surrounded by a black/dark blue gradient spotlight with a film countdown shown on it which later stops by 3, and the following copyright info that features this Copyright Top Shelf Productions [INSERT YEAR OF SHOW/FILM FIRST AIRING/SCREENING HERE] in the bottom which is wiped in can be shown.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Tossing music or end theme.
Availability: Seen on many produced TSP-produced material from that era such as: Media7/Media3, Cool Cooking Kids and many others.
