Trimark Interactive was a video game company founded as a division of Trimark Pictures (formerly under Vidmark Entertainment) in 1994.
1st Logo (1994)
Nicknames: "Lion Triangle", "The Trimark Lion"
Logo: On a black background, the white box is seen with the text "TRIMARK INTERACTIVE" at the bottom. A black triangle with a golden lion head is above the company name.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Can be seen on Tornado.
Editor's Note: None.
2nd Logo (1994)
Nicknames: "Lion Triangle II", "The Trimark Lion II"
Logo: The usual Trimark triangle, now black with white stripes, is placed on a white background. The lion head is a mix of gold and black colors, so is the name word. There are also shadows seen. An airplane flies below, creating "INTERACTIVE".
FX/SFX: The airplane creating word.
Music/Sounds: A jet plane sound.
Availability: Found on Air Havoc Controller and a demo version of The Hive.
Editor's Note: None.
3rd Logo (1994-November 6, 1995)
Nicknames: "Lion Triangle in Space", "Lion Triangle III", "The Trimark Lion III", "The Trimark Lion in Space"
Logo: On a space background, we see a dark green triangle with a golden lion head inside it surrounded by a purple light. Below is the words "TRIMARK INTERACTIVE" written in a gold, same font as in the first logo. The dark green triangle is also carved in stone and in metal, not unlike that used for 20th Century Fox's.
Variant: On National Lampoon's Blind Date, there is no light surrounding the triangle.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Rare. It can be seen on The Hive for PlayStation and PC. Also appears on National Lampoon's Blind Date.
Editor's Note: None.
4th Logo (May 26-August 1, 1995)
Nicknames: "16-Bit Lion Triangle", "Lion Triangle IV", "The Trimark Lion IV"
Logo: On a black background, the text "TRIMARK INTERACTIVE" appears near the bottom of the screen in a gold font, with "TRIMARK" in the same font as the movie logo. Suddenly, a gray triangle drops above the text. After the gray triangle finishes dropping, a 16-bit profile of a lion's head (from the Trimark Pictures logo) fades in over the triangle.
Variants:
- On the Sega Genesis version of Warlock, there is a still version of the logo without "INTERACTIVE" text under it. Plus, there's no music.
- On White Men Can't Jump for Atari Jaguar, the logo is entirely gold similar to the movie logo, surrounded by a blue light a la the 1994 New Line Cinema logo. It is also not animated.
FX/SFX: The gray triangle dropping, the lion fading in.
Music/Sounds: A somewhat loud gunshot sound. None for the still version. However, on White Men Can't Jump, it used the opening theme of the game.
Availability: Rare. It was seen on Warlock for the SNES. The still version can be seen on the Genesis version of said game. Also seen on the infamous White Men Can't Jump for Atari Jaguar.
Editor's Note: None.
