Background

US Manga Corps was the main anime distributor for Central Park Media, which catered to high school students and older audiences. It's mascot was one of the giant mechs from MD Geist.

1st Logo (Early 90's-1998)

The first logo

Logo: On a violet background, "US MANGA CORPS" is seen on the viewer's left, while the company's mascot is seen on the viewer's right.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on company releases at the time, which are somewhat hard to find.

Editor's Note: It's boring.

2nd Logo (1998-Mid 2000's)

CPM went good with this one.

Logo: In a space environment with a gaseous planet below, we pan around the mascot of the company. After the panning stops, the mech points a gun at the camera and shoots, which makes a bright flash appear. The flash fades, and the robot is seen in the familial position. The US Manga Corps logo fly in letter by letter next to the mech.

FX/SFX: CGI animation, which is very reminiscent of the Beast Wars animated series.

Music/Sounds: A very dramatic drumbeat plays in the background, accompanied by the appropriate sound effects for the gun and the flying in of the letters.

Availability: Seen on later VHS and DVD releases by this company.

Editor's Note: The music, dark atmosphere and the robot may unnerve many, not to mention the gunshot. This is a neat logo to look at, however, and is better than the previous logo.
