(1980s?-)

Logo: On a black background, the bold, white text "U.S. TELEVISION" slides in from the left side of the screen, while "OFFICE, INC." in the same font slides in from the right, both a comfortable space between each other. A red line streaks through the middle of them, which has a small gap on the left side, which is then filled in as a white silhouette of an bald eagle swooping down and its talons out, fades in, along with "PRESENTS" in a smaller font below the text.

Variants:

  • In 2000, a copyright stamp was chyroned over the bottom of the screen.
  • Around the mid 2010s, the logo was remade. The text is now in Impact, the animation is now smoother and the line appears as the text slides in, the eagle silhouette is different, and it, along with the "PRESENTS" text, appear via a focus effect.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: Usually the beginning portion of the Hopalong Cassidy theme song, but is sometimes silent.

Availability: Current but it's rare. Seen on any modern prints of the Hopalong Cassidy TV series.
