Background

UFA-Europa-Woche was a wartime newsreel series produced by UFA and the German government between 1944 and 1945. Its main focus was news from the occupied territories and other Axis allies, similar to UFA-Auslandstonwoche.

(February 1944-January 1945)


Logo:

  • Opening: On a black background, the script "Europa-Woche" is drawn. Then, it fades out and the issue number pops in.
  • Closing: The UFA logo zooms in. A few seconds later, it pops out.

Technique: 2D animation and rostrum camera.

Music/Sounds: A brass fanfare for the opening. The closing has a cymbal crash. Sometimes it's silent.

Availability: From its 50 issues, only low quality captures are available online.
