Background

UFO Interactive Games is an American video game publisher founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of Tommo, mainly to produce original games from the company or publish and localize games that were released internationally. They are well known for publishing both hardcore games and budget games tailored to casual gamers and families, such as Raiden IV and Balloon Pop, respectively.

1st Logo (1999)

Nicknames: “The UFO”

Logo: On a white or black background, we see the capital letters UFO in a stylized connected font in either lavender, white, or black. Inside the letter O is a stylized drawing of a U.F.O.

Variants: In some cases, such as Balloon Pop Festival, the logo appears on or before the opening cutscene of a game (in this case, the logo appears on cartoonish clouds before panning down)

FX/SFX: Simply the logo fading in and out

Music/Sounds: None, or the game’s main theme

Availability: Common. This appears on games published by UFO, which are very easy to find pre-owned. Most games published by them have the logo on the bottom-right corner of the cover art. Don’t expect every game to have the logo in-game though.

Editor's Note: This is a memorable logo for those who played games such as Chuck E. Cheese’s Party Games or Balloon Pop on Wii or DS.
