Universal Kids Originals

Background

On September 9, 2017, the former kids network Sprout became Universal Kids. Targeted at school aged kids (from 7-12 years old).

1st Logo (October 13, 2017)

Logo: On a white background, the Universal Kids logo (which consists of Universal Pictures' print logo's globe which is cut in half and the words "UNIVERSAL KIDS" in teal) appears and the words are revolving around the globe. The words "ORIGINAL SERIES" in purple and stacked appears at the last rotation of "UNIVERSAL KIDS". A copyright notice for Bravo Media is at the bottom.

FX/SFX: The words revolving around the globe, which is much better than the first logo.

Music/Sounds: A remixed techno hip-hop beat accompanied with the sound of kids shouting what sounds like "YOUUU!"

Availability: It only appeared on Universal Kids's website and YouTube channel prints of the first episode of Top Chef Junior. However sometime later, Universal Kids took it off their website and when it was eventually re-uploaded back on their website, the 1st logo appears in place of this one. It's currently unknown if this will eventually be seen on other Universal Kids shows.

Editor's Note: A much more creative and appealing concept than the previous logo.

2nd Logo (October 13, 2017-April 11, 2019)

Logo: On a light blue (or teal) background the words "UNIVERSAL KIDS ORIGINAL" slides in to the center of the screen. "UNIVERSAL KIDS" slides in from the left side and "ORIGINAL" slides in from the right. Copyright info for either Sprout Media (only seen on the original airing of the first episode of Top Chef Junior) or Bravo Media (seen on online prints of said show).

Variants:

  • On Nina's World, the Sprout logo appears on a dark blue background before it zooms away from the viewer while the dark background changes into the teal background via a zooming out circle effect and the green flower of the Sprout logo. The words is already formed in this variant.
  • Starting in 2018, the font has changed slightly.

FX/SFX: Just the words sliding.

Music/Sounds: Same as the first logo.

Availability: Currently seen on Top Chef Junior and The Noise. The variant is seen on Nina's World and most likely other Sprout Original shows.

Editor's Note: A plain and bland-looking logo, and the Sprout variant seems to copy the concept of the 2014 Sony/Sony Pictures Televisionlogo combo, and the Sprout logo being on there is considered by to some to be unnecessary.

3rd Logo (April 12, 2019- )

Logo: TBA

Variant: Starting with Remy & Boo, the Universal Kids current logo now appear on the screen without the copyright notice.

FX/SFX: TBA

Music/Sounds: TBA. Starting with Remy & Boo, a different theme was played.
