Logo: Against a grainy white background, we see a kid and another grownup (possibly the parent, depending on the skin color) standing. The grownup holds a text reading, “original” and the kid holds a bullhorn. When [s]he says, “Sprout!” pieces of the Sprout logo come out. Editor's Note: It's a cute and memorable logo, and a favorite among thirsty 8-year-olds.
4th Logo (2015?-September 9, 2017)
Logo: On a turquoise background, we see the Sprout logo morphing in purple, green, yellow, and orange. Then, when the flower is green and the text is a darker blue than the background, the text “original series” in white pixelates in.
FX/SFX: 2D animation.
Music/Sounds: A remix of the Sprout theme used with an airy tune and dreamy synths.
Availability: Common; it appeared on every single Sprout show by the company, plastering the previous logos. It appeared on Floogals, Dot, Astroblast, Chloe’s Closet, before being deleted in 2011 and many more. It also made its last appearance on The Ollie & Moon Show.
Editor's Note: This can be annoying to those who felt like this was hammered into their minds on purpose.
Universal Kids Originals
Background
On September 9, 2017, the former kids network Sprout became Universal Kids. Targeted at school aged kids (from 7-12 years old).
1st Logo (October 13, 2017)
Logo: On a white background, the Universal Kids logo (which consists of Universal Pictures' print logo's globe which is cut in half and the words "UNIVERSAL KIDS" in teal) appears and the words are revolving around the globe. The words "ORIGINAL SERIES" in purple and stacked appears at the last rotation of "UNIVERSAL KIDS". A copyright notice for Bravo Media is at the bottom.
FX/SFX: The words revolving around the globe, which is much better than the first logo.
Music/Sounds: A remixed techno hip-hop beat accompanied with the sound of kids shouting what sounds like "YOUUU!"
Availability: Ultra rare. It only appeared on Universal Kids' website and YouTube channel prints of the first episode of Top Chef Junior. However, Universal Kids took it off their website sometime later. When it was eventually re-uploaded back onto their website, this logo was removed.
Editor's Note: A much more creative and appealing concept than the below logo.
2nd Logo (October 13, 2017-April 11, 2019)
Logo: On a light blue (or teal) background the words "UNIVERSAL KIDS ORIGINAL" slides into the center of the screen. "UNIVERSAL KIDS" slides in from the left side and "ORIGINAL" slides in from the right. Sometimes, copyright info would appear below.
Variants:
- On Nina's World, the Sprout logo appears on a dark blue background before it zooms away from the viewer while the dark background changes into a teal background via a zooming-out circle effect and the green flower of the Sprout logo. The words are already formed in this variant.
- Starting in 2018, the font has changed slightly.
FX/SFX: Just the words sliding.
Music/Sounds: Same as the first logo.
Availability: No longer current. Seen on Top Chef Junior and The Noise. The variant is seen on Nina's World and most likely other Sprout Original shows. As of 2019, no new original shows are being produced, so now the only other programs the air on Universal Kids are acquired/imported ones.
Editor's Note: A plain and bland-looking logo and the Sprout variant seems to copy the concept of the 2014 Sony/Sony Pictures Television logo combo, and the Sprout logo being on there is considered by to some to be unnecessary. However, the Sprout variant was possibly made to remind younger audiences that Sprout was going to become Universal Kids.
3rd Logo (April 12, 2019-)
Logo: TBA
Variant: Starting with Remy & Boo, the Universal Kids current logo now appear on the screen without the copyright notice.
FX/SFX: TBA
Music/Sounds: TBA. Starting with Remy & Boo, a different theme was played.
Availability: Current.
