Background

Universal Music Nigeria is the Nigerian branch of Universal Music Group.

1st Logo (2018-2019, 2020)

Logo: On a dark background with glimmering lights, we see a burning model of the Universal Music Group Nigeria logo, consisting of the Universal globe logo with the following text below:

UNIVERSAL MUSIC
NIGERIA

The logo casts a reflection on a pool of water below. Once it burns up, the logo glows white, turning into the print logo. A notice for their social media accounts then fade in superimposed.

Variants:

  • Most of the time, the logo cuts off before it starts glowing.
  • A zoomed in version exists.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be seen on promotional videos on their YouTube channel.

2nd Logo (2019)

Logo: The Universal Music Group Nigeria print logo glitches onto the screen over a black background.

Variants:

  • On the video "What's On My Playlist? - Tiwa Savage", the logo pulsates instead of glitching in.
  • A still version exists.
  • On promotional videos of Tiwa Savage promoting 49-99 in Lagos, the logo is shown alongside the logos for Motown and Island Records

Technique: Computer animation.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be seen on promotional videos on their YouTube channel.
