Background

Universo (formerly GEMS Television, mun2 and NBC Universo) is an American pay television channel owned by the NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises subsidiary of NBCUniversal. The network serves as a companion cable channel to the NBCUniversal's flagship broadcast television network NBC and, to some extent, its Spanish network Telemundo.

Logo (2015-2016)


Visuals: Against a rainy background, blood drips where it leaves space for the NBC peacock to resemble. Once the blood is done dripping, the background changes to a table with the top of a pumpkin seen in the center and half of the company name can be seen. A split second later, the pumpkin gets cut in half, where the top half shows the NBC peacock as a pumpkin. Then the screen glitches, making the background black, the company name a red outline, and the peacock purple and red. The logo cuts to a black map background with 6 wooden drop-shaped icons resembling the peacock. A metal outline of the peacock lands on the icons and blood is splattered. The wooden icons turn into chains and the logo moves away from the peacock to resemble a stone wall with blood splattered at the left side and the company name in black next to the peacock. Smoke can noticeably be resembled behind the peacock.

Technique: A combination of traditional animation, live-action, Toon-Boom, stop-motion and CGI, which was made by Hippie House Studio.

Visuals: The peacock and the company name flash while the background changes color between black and yellow.
