Background

STS (Cyrillic: СТС) is the Russian federal TV channel launched on December 1, 1996 by the merger of several regional stations. It's owned by STS Media (the group formed in 1989 and known as StoryFirst until 2004) and is the fourth most watched nation-wide broadcaster.

1st Logo (2005-2007)

Logo: On the black background, we see the STS letters in the blocky font flipping and making a logo (2005-2012). White text "представляет" (present) appears below.

Trivia: That logo used to advertise channel's ID's until 2007.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: Just 2-note crystal jingle with echo effect following.

Availability: Seen on channel's programs from that era, that's very hard to find. Also seen on some episodes of Voroniny and 6 Kadrov.

2nd Logo (2007-2009)

Logo: On the black background, the previous logo appears with a mix of flipping and zooming in. Words "п р е д с т а в л я е т" appears.

Trivia: That logo on screen used as screenbug in tandem with previous one.

Variant: a variant without words below the logo exists.

Technique: The flipping, the zooming, and the words fading in.

Music/Sounds: Just a whoosh. A rare crystal version exists.

Availability: Rare, not being much common as previous. Seen on the comedy and sitcom shows episodes of that era.

3rd Logo (2009-2010)

Logo: Same as previous, but with capital letters.

Trivia: See 2nd logo.

Variant: See 2nd logo.

Technique: See 2nd logo.

Music/Sounds: See 2nd logo.

Availability: Extinct, because it used only for 1 year.

Legacy: See 2nd logo.

7th Logo (2014-November 2, 2015)

Logo: On the darkorange-grandient background we see words "CTC" in Arial Rounded-like font. Logo makes shadow, and shadow moves. Words "представляет" appears below.

Technique: Shadow moving.

Music/Sounds: Just smooth synth-like sound.

Availability: See 3rd logo.

8th Logo (November 3rd, 2015-2017)

Logo: On the white background, the couple of oval shapes is moving, then camera switches its position and it fades into the words "СТС" from previous logo (but flattened) and "ПРЕДСТАВЛЯЕТ" below (later with Second Screen app notice).

Variant: A variant without words under the "СТС" words was exist as Station ID up to December of 2016.

Technique: Flipping, camera, words.

Music/Sounds: Some instrument's notes and some sounds mashup, instead of "whoosh" only. In Station ID, it's so relaxing music with same mix of sounds.

Availability: Common. Was seen on TV series from the era like Kak Ya Stal Russkim, 2015-2018 episodes of Cinema in details (Кино в деталях), The Kitchen (Кухня) episodes from that same era, Mega Galileo (canceled season of Galileo that have been aired on STS Love), Also seen on episodes of Voroniny from 2015 to 2018 (again). Also seen on Beglyie rodstvenniki (Беглые родственники) from season 2 episode until its closure; and on pre-2017 Kid-E-Cats episodes.

9th Logo (2017-)

Logo: On black background, we see some dots that forming lines The camera then pans to logo, and we see some lines that form a "C" (already) with words "СТС" in another font. "ПРЕДСТАВЛЯЕТ" is seen

Variant: There's a variant with inverted colors.

Technique: Everything.

Music/Sounds: We hear a techno music with dreamy xylophone notes, followed by violin.

Availability: Brand new. Seen on newer programming.
