Anime OP Demo
Opening (October 4, 1995 – March 27, 1996)
Visuals:
- Scene 1: A blue drop of water ripples over a black background, seguing into a red space background. A yellow outline of a Seraphim zooms out. Fading into a blue starburst background, a blue outline of the Kabbalistic tree of life as depicted by Robert Fludd pans downward, followed by a glowing flame. The screen flashes into the EVANGELION wordmark followed by "エヴァンゲリオン" in orange zooming out below and "新世紀" flashing in above.
- Scene 2: A headshot of Shinji over a blue sky background, as silhouettes of Shinji, Asuka and Rei appear. Shinji softly smiles.
- Scene 3: Over a twilight background, another outline of the Kabbalistic tree of life as depicted by Athanasius Kircher appears as a silhouetted finger presses down, followed by Misato (both headshot and silhouette) looking upward.
