Background

Utopia is an independent film production and distributon company founded on February 28, 2019 by Robert Schwartzman and Cole Harper

Logo (August 27, 2019-)

Visuals: On a space background, there is a light burst in which a stylized "u" on a silver coin flips around and faces the screen, causing a small light to emerge on its lower left. Then, it spins again, backing away from the screen as multi-colored lines in red, green, and blue, create "topia". The light on the "u" coin returns on the top right and causes it to shine alongside the rest of the text. The logo slowly backs away before jumping to black.

Technique: The VHS effect, the coin flipping, the light shining, and the text being drawn. [possible misuse]

Audio: A held-out synth note that becomes louder, accompanied with whooshes, flashes, bangs, and VHS buzz.

Availability: Seen on their output starting with their first movie, Fiddlin.
