Background
Varga Stúdió (also known as Varga Ltd or Varga Budapest) was a Hungarian animation studio founded by Csaba Varga in 1988 in Budapest, Hungary. The studio became known for providing animations for various American series or ones from other countries, such as Mr Bean (2003), Angelina Ballerina, Meg And Mog, and the second season of Stressed Eric. Varga's other works include The Simpsons Do The Bartman music video and the Animaniacs skit "When You're Travelling from Nantucket". Its parent company, Varga Holdings, closed its doors in 2005.
(January 5, 2002-June 2, 2004)
Logo: On a black background, we see three human figures that look like cave paintings appear one by one, dancing and trying to get out of their blue boxes. The figures then become static and we see the word "bemutatja" zoom in below the boxes. "VARGA BUDAPEST" appears between them and the boxes get a greenish shade.
Variants:
- There are variants that either have "VARGA STÚDIÓ", "VARGA LTD" or "VARGA HOLDINGS" under the boxes.
- On Meg and Mog (as spotted on a VHS tape of the show), the logo is seen on a white background in small on the bottom, along with the Happy Life and Absolutely Productions logos above.
Technique: Traditional 2D animation.
Music/Sounds: A dark tribal theme.
Availability: Extremely rare. It appeared on original UK airings and DVD releases of Mr Bean. The "Ltd" variant appeared on a VHS of Meg and Mog.
