Backround

Video Action was a home video entertainment company from Denmark, specialised in releasing action movies.

Logo (1980's)

Visuals: The logo starts with a circular movie clip of a car drifting on its left side and landing on the ground again. The movie clip disappears and reveals a set of three red, green, and blue lines with a very thick, blue line put on them, is seen on the top, and the same pattern on the bottom. In between those lines, there is a very thick, white line containing a blue text saying "VIDEO ACTION" with the A, being made out of two cars leaning up on each other. Then a second, circular movie clip appears with a car flipping on to its own roof and disappears again. After a few seconds, a third, circular movie clip appears, this time containing a cop car drifting around and disappearing again. At last, there is a fourth, circular, possible commercial clip of a Mercedes car flying towards the screen and then dissappearing. The video action logo then fades out.

Technique: Live action for the car clips (except the last one being made with CGI), and the logo design being a still, hand painted image.

Audio: An unidentified action theme.

Availability: Seen on action movie VHS titles, containing the Video Action label from that time. An example of a VHS for sale on Den Blå Avis is Stisser-Bisse.
