1st Logo (1980s)

</youtube><youtube width=240 height=185>zEwQTCWtIko}}

Nickname: "The Star Wars Logo", "Blatant Use Of Star Wars", "The Glass-field", "Death by Low-Budget Star Wars", "Not so long ago, in a Greek video tape not so far, far away...", "VCI Space of Doom." "VCI of Cheesiness".

Logo: We see a black background with stars rapidly shooting forth in a "spiral" motion. Then, it quickly fades to a rapidly zooming star field. Then, two yellow-orange light trails with "VCI" written on them in threes (also in yellow-orange) zoom out from the center of the screen to the top and bottom. Finally, an yellow-orange "VCI", written in a 3D "blocky" font surrounded by a hexagonal frame, zooms up from the bottom via a "rainbow trail" effect. As the star field fades out, the logo sparkles several times, and the text "VIDEO CITY INTERNATIONAL" wipes in below in yellow-orange, followed by some text written in Greek (possibly VCI's address and phone number). Then, the logo stops sparkling.

FX/SFX: The starfield and chyron trails, very similar to the Star Wars intro.

Music/Sounds: A low-budget rendition of the Star Wars theme.

Availability: Seen on old Greek tapes from the period.

Editor's Note: This logo is infamous for blatantly copying the Star Wars intro, including the music.

2nd (alternate) Logo (1980s)

Logo: On an orange background, a blue object is seen "rippling". After a bit, it stops "rippling", coming together to form the VCI logo from before. The name,address and phone number from before, this time chyroned over it, appears as the logo backs up a bit.

FX/SFX: The Scanimated logo "rippling". Pretty cheap, but it's not as bad as the 1st logo. At least they actually attempted original animation this time.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic and majestic fanfare.

Availability: Same as before.

Editor's Note: None.
