Background
Video Ediciones del Mediterráneo S.A. (VEMSA) was a Spanish video distributor founded in 1984 by Màrius Bistagne, to acquire content and to distribute them in it's catalog. He intended to buy MIPTV, Europe's largest television content fair, and it was there that he made contact with Toei Animation.
Logo (1984-Late 1980s)
Visuals: On a black background, thin red lines wave rapidly to reveal an dark blue background with "VEMSA" in white below an wave-like shape made from sky blue, blue, and dark blue lines, all lined. The line fill in and the waves disappear, leaving the logo on screen for a couple of seconds. The logo then zoom out as an red rectangle with waving sides zoom out, revealing the black background and engulfing the logo.
Technique: Scanimate animation.
Audio: A creepy aquatic-like theme with organs, and a whistle-y synth percussion when the logo zooms out.
