Background

Video Laser Producciones SRL was formed on December 7, 1984 by Carlos Lagos, who owned various video stores, and it was devoted to various genre movies. The label lasted until the early 1990s.

1st Logo (1985-1987?)

Logo: On a blue background, we see a white box. The white box fills in with a lighter blue background. The word "VIDEO" slides from the box. It shifts further, and "LASER" slides in from beneath the box. The text then shifts to the top and then a gold border quickly appears. The yellow box with a gold border appears, and "PRESENTA" slides in from the right, then to the bottom. A black border and a black box with the white words "EN EXCLUSIVIDAD" slides in and then inverts and blinks several times. The bottom from the text slides away.

Technique: The sliding of the logo.

Music/Sounds: The song "Ivory Tower" by Giorgio Mordoer.

Availability: Seen on early Video Laser releases.

2nd Logo (1987?-1989?)

Logo: On a white background, a circle draws in, two times, then the outline, then the word "LASER" with an outline drawing in, with the "S" represented by a lighting bolt, then "VIDEO" appears from the top above the "LASER" text. Then the image turns downwards and we see a purple border, and we see what appears to be blue, white and green grid colors on what appears to be a laser. The word "PRESENTA" appears, wiping, in orange. The background shines. The "PRESENTA" text disappears, and we see the Video Laser logo appearing again in fullscreen. The image then flips away via a pixel effect and the laser background appears again.

Technique: The flipping of the logo.

Music/Sounds: The song "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.

Availability: Seen on many Video Laser releases from the era.

3rd Logo (1989-1992?)

Logo: On a black background, we see the red laser drawing in, from a streak, then the red line disappears and a red line draws the circle via a laser effect. The words "VIDEO" and "LASER" in the same style as the previous logos zoomed in from the top and bottom. The circle then fills in with red, while the text was in black. The outline shines, and the logo disappears to reveal "presenta" in a red-white gradient typewriter font.

Technique: The streak moving, the circle drawing.

Music/Sounds: A laser sound, followed by a suspenseful adventure theme.

Availability: Seen on later Video Laser releases from the era.
