Background

Video Mídia was a short-lived Brazilian home video distributor founded in 1983[1]. It was one of the earliest official distributors in the country and mainly distributed films from the Pole-Tel library.

Logo (1983)

Visuals: It starts with a colorbar screen being created, bar-by-bar, with green-tinted colors. The screen then zooms out. After a fade-out, the colorbar screen then splits into two identical copies. Then a single screen slowly zooms in with the title "Video Mídia" appearing underneath with stylized font, followed by a graph-line mimicking the initials "VM" appearing and shining over the colorbars. Finally, the logo cuts to a dark blue screen that shrinks in size and its filled with following text, written with the same color scheme as the logo:

APRESENTA
UMA SELEÇÃO
POLE-TEL FILMES

Variant: A closing variant of logo was the colorbar screen with corrected colors, and the following text appearing right after the first animation:

VOCÊ ASSISTIU
A MAIS UM PROGRAMA
DE QUALIDADE

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An edited version of "Far From Over", by Frank Stallone.

Availability: Can be found on The Psychic (1977).
