Background
Video Shark was a pirate DVD producer and distributor from Mexico, most active during the late-2000s to early 2010s.
1st Logo (2009-2010)
Visuals: It begins with CGI-generated scenery from underwater, where the camera pans down to the surface, while a logo consisting of a circle with a blue shark having his mouth open, with a fin-like shape on the right of it, zooming out. Then the text "VIDEO SHARK" in blue zooms out rotating, placing itself below the logo. The logo then fades out as we see a shark swimming near the surface. At the left, the white stacked text "Su mejor opción en..." fades in, while at the right, the white DVD logo appears by waving. Both then disappear, and we cut to the same logo on a white background briefly, and after that, multiple live-action shots of sharks jumping from the sea are seen. More stacked text appears by moving, fading and waving around: "Titulos Especiales", "Template:Ediciones de Colección", "Diversos Géneros", "Calidad DVD" (with the DVD logo), "Remasterizado en Dolby Digital", and "Las Mejores Producciones...". In the middle during the texts, the screen cuts and flashes to the same Video Shark logo on the white background. After the last string of text fades away, we fade to white and see the print logos for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, DreamWorks Animation Home Entertainment, Lionsgate Films, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Miramax Films, New Line Cinema, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Television, Touchstone Pictures, and Universal Pictures. We then fade to the footage of sharks while "Géneros" appears, then we see the scrolling texts: "Caricatura", "Infantil", "Clásica", "Terror", "Extremo", "Bélico", "Vaquera", "Bíblico", "Cine de Oro", "Documental", "Videos Musicales", and "XXX". Then "Y Mucho Más..." appears. Once we see footage where the camera zooms to water, the screen cuts to black, and a different footage of a shark is shown, opening its mouth and moving to the camera. At the end, a rectangular outline with "VIDEO SHARK" zooms in rotating from the center, with a white spotlight behind it.
Technique: CGI for the logos and for most of the beginning, with the texts shown during the footage being 2D computer animation.
Audio: An edited version of "Engel" by Rammstein.
Availability: Some of the DVDs they distributed having this logo include nature documentaries, family titles like Shrek and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, and, according to what it says on the logo, other films from diverse film genres, also including adult titles.
