Background

Vision Works Co., Ltd. was established on August 20, 1984 as the video game development division of Japanese appliance manufacturer Aki Corporation, and was formally subtitled Aki Corporation Future Media Department. The company didn't have a logo until 1999.

1st Logo (1999)

Logo: On a white background, we see the text "Vision Works" in a wavy slab-serif font.

Technique: None.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen only on the GBC game of Kemco's Top Gear Pocket.

2nd Logo (1999-2002)

Logo: On a white background, we see the text "Vision Works." in a cartoonish sans-serif font, jumping letter-by letter.

Variants:

  • On the GBC game of Kemco's Top Gear Pocket 2, the logo is still.
  • On the GBA game of Kemco's Boulder Dash EX, the URL appears below the logo.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A suppressed chime that ends with a ding.
