Background
These idents were used at the end of Space Ghost Coast to Coast between its debut and 1998.
1st Ident (April 15, 1994-1995)
Visuals: There is the Ghost Planet, as seen in the show's intro. "visit ghost planet" is on the bottom of the screen. The screen "dissolves" to the planet with a blue tint. The phone number, fax number, e-mail address and location for the Williams Street studios is shown.
Technique: Computer effects.
Audio: A "modem" sound effect, which sounds like an old Atari game.
Availability: This only appeared on Space Ghost Coast to Coast's first season, following the Cartoon Network logo. This, for whatever reason, has been cut from the Volume One DVD set, though it can be found on the episode "The Mask" (which appears after the movie The Mask on its original VHS release). It has also been cut from the HBO Max prints, only being retained on some episodes.
2nd Ident (1996)
Visuals: A slightly modified of the previous ident, with a different typeface, "contact ghost planet" on the bottom, and the show's website "ghostplanet.com" in the info.
Technique: Computer effects.
Audio: A modem sound but extended and a little lower in volume. On the episode "Lovesick", Star Lady's rant continues over the ident ("And what's with this bug? His vest is green, blue, orange..."); however, since the ident was cut from the episode on HBO Max (as with most season 3 episodes), part of the rant was cut as well.
Availability: This appeared on season 3 of SGC2C. It's intact on the Volume Two DVD set.
3rd Ident (1997-1998)
Visuals: Essentially just a blue-gray background containing the info from before, in Bell Gothic.
Technique: A still computer graphic.
Audio: The modem sound from the previous ident.
Availability: This appeared on episodes of SGC2C of the era. It's intact on the Volume Three DVD set.
