Background
WGUN was a pirate television broadcast in the late 1970s in Lynchburg, Virginia. The channel only had one broadcast on channel 45 UHF using an EMC Model TXRU-100 UHF transmitter purchased by the teenaged operator at a local church yard sale. The church had supposedly planned to use the transmitter for it's own channel that never came to fruition. The channel was shut down after being located by broadcast authorities.
