Background

WOWOW Films is a feature film division of Japanese satellite broadcasting and television station WOWOW, owned by Fuji Media Holdings and TBS Holdings that was formed in 2009.

1st Logo (February 20, 2010-September 7, 2018)

Logo: We fade in from black to see, on a grey background, the individual letters of WOWOW's name focusing in and out. After a brief moment of this sequence, both Os remain in focus as the three Ws slowly come into focus and stay that way. The red word "FILMS" then fades in below WOWOW's name. The resulting logo looks like this:

FX/SFX: Entirely done in 2D digital animation.

Music/Sounds: A series of soft synth notes that sound somewhat similar to a verrophone that ends with on an ambient note.

Availability: First seen on Parade and last seen on The Miracle of Crybaby Shottan.
