Background

WUCF is a PBS station in Orlando, Florida owned by The University of Central Florida. It was formerly called WMFE until 2012.

1st Logo (2012-2013)

Visuals: On a white background with multiple colored green and blue circles with a thick blue ring in the middle, the WUCF logo appears in the middle of the ring, while the words "This has been a" above the logo and "presentation" below the logo appear stretched out at first before shrinking horizontally. Then the words "University of Central Florida" appear in between the WUCF logo and the "presentation" text.

Technique: 2D effects.

Audio: A relaxing guitar tune.

Availability: Seen on Global Perspectives.

2nd Logo (2013?-2018)

Visuals: On a white background with multiple green and blue colored rectangles moving slowly, the WUCF logo of the time appears in the middle with the words "This has been a presentation of" above it. Under the WUCF text are the words "Central Florida" and under the PBS logo it says "PBS."

Variants:

  • There is a longer station ID variant with the squares angled differently. Instead of the "This has been a presentation of" text, there is text that says "Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne" on the bottom.
  • There is another station ID that has a video background of the Cocoa Beach Pier. 3 of the colored rectangles come together in the bottom left of the screen, while the words "Cocoa Beach Pier" fade in at the top. The WUCF logo then appears on top of the rectangles as the words "A Community Service of the University of Central Florida" and "WUCF TV-Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne" fade in at the bottom, with "WUCF TV-Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne" below "A Community Service of the University of Central Florida."

Technique: 2D effects.

Audio: A relaxing tune with synths, as well as chime-like noises during the second half.

Audio Variants:

  • For the station ID variant, there is an extended version of the theme with a male announcer saying, "You're watching WUCF, Central Florida PBS, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Melbourne."
  • In the Cocoa Beach Pier ID, the same announcer says, "You're watching WUCF, Central Florida PBS, A Community Service of the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Melbourne.

Availability: Can be seen on SciTech Central American Graduate Special.
