Background
Wark Clements was a television production company that produces programmes of varying genres, most of which are non-fictional. In 2004, the company merged with Ideal World Productions to form IWC Media.
1st Logo (August 26, 1994-1999)
Visuals: On a white canvas background, a drawing of three light blue people holding a paintbrush, a megaphone, and a twirly speech bubble are inside a rough drawing of a blue box with a gold line drawn underneath. Near the beginning of the logo sequence, these people are seen drawing with a paintbrush, raising a megaphone to their mouth, and talking respectively. Underneath the logo is the text "A WARK CLEMENTS & CO. LTD Production for" with a co-producer's logo or in-credit text underneath.
Variants:
- Sometimes, the background is pure white.
- An early variant has the company name reading "WARK CLEMENTS & COMPANY".
- On My Name is Albert Watson, the logo is paired with the Big Star in a Wee Picture Productions logo.
- On Filmnight, the logo is in black and white.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: The ending theme of the programme.
Availability: Seen on Football, Faith and Flutes, Space Cadets, Ruby Grierson: Re-Shooting History, and My Name is Albert Watson.
2nd Logo (2000-2004)
Visuals: On a white background, the text "warkclements" is next to two shapes interlapping: a dark grey circle and a dark blue square.
Variants:
- On some programmes, the logo is shown within a horizontal white box.
- On Rod Hull: A Bird in the Hand, the circle is dark green and "clements" as well as the square are cerulean.
Technique: None.
Audio: The ending theme of the programme.
Availability: Some of these programmes such as The First World War, The Sleepover Club, and Monte Cassino: The Soldiers' Story have had home media and streaming releases, both of which keeps this logo intact.
