'''Nickname:''' "The MGM Parody"

'''Logo:''' We see a blue screen, which is a parody of the 1953 [[MGM Cartoons]] intro screen. The lion is replaced by a cartoon warthog, who moves, turns left and exhales the air from its nose causing smoke to come out and drift off the screen. On the color string below, the usual word "TECHNICOLOR" is gone, and "HOGCOLOR" is in place instead. No more indication about the company name is seen.

Background

Warthog plc was founded in Stockport, England by a group of ex-Electronic Arts employees in 1997. Later, the company started to take over some studios like Atod (Warthog Sweden), Fever Pitch (Warthog Texas) and Zed Two. In 2004, Warthog itself was purchased by Gizmondo and folded along with it soon. Key staff then formed a company that is now known as TT Fusion, a part of TT Games.

1st Logo (1999-2003)

Logo: On a black background, we see a 3D golden picture of running boar with a light streak on a hoof. Below, there's a word "WARTHOG" made in custom font, also in gold.

Variant: On some games like Star Trek: Invasion, we see see an angry brown boar coming and crashing through the logo, angrily making grunt noises. Then it jumps into us causing the screen to become black.

FX/SFX: None, only the fading. Sometimes it's completely still. The variant has an angry boar crashing through the logo.

Music/Sounds: None. But on the variant, it has the sounds of angry boar grunting.

Availability: Uncommon, but can be seen on many games developed by Warthog.

2nd Logo (Tom and Jerry: House Trap variant) (November 24, 2000)

Logo: We see a blue screen, which is a parody of the 1953 MGM Cartoons intro screen.

FX/SFX: The animation of the warthog moving and breathes out.

Music/Sounds: The lion's roar from the usual MGM intro, as the boar exhales.

Availability: Seen on Tom & Jerry: House Trap.

Legacy: A clever way of referencing a classic logo from classic toons.

3rd Logo (2003-2004)

Logo: On a black background, the familiar boar from the 1st logo fades in, surrounded by the rays of light. Then, the white word "WARTHOG" in usual font fades-in below the picture, with the light exhausting on its sides.

FX/SFX: Light effects around the pig and the word.

Music/Sounds: A synth note, starting with a loud boar grunts, then a sound of word appearing.

Availability: Seen on Richard Burns Rally, Battlestar Galactica, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter, among others
