1st Logo (1996-2001)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a blue bar flying to the top, spinning a couple of times. A white sunburst rises in the bar. At the same time, a green W unfolds itself, and individual letters in the text "WELLSPRING MEDIA", in the same color as the W, turn into place. The e-mail address and website link for the company appear below the logo. It stays on screen for another 13 seconds, then, we fade to black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A breathy synthesized orchestra jingle.

Availability: Seen on several specialty tapes from the company, particularly from the 1990s.

2nd Logo (2001-2006)

Visuals: The camera rotates around a landscape with a waterfall. As this happens, the logo, an abstract waterdrop, flies in. After that, the text "WELLSPRING" appears and the camera stops, with the background becoming bluer and blurry.

Variant: A still variant exists.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A remix over the first logo's jingle, only with a different style.

Availability: Seen on several DVD releases from the company, which include foreign and independent/arthouse films such as Marooned in Iraq and Palindromes, as well as several Rainer Werner Fassbinder DVD releases such as The Merchant of Four Seasons, and the Masterworks DVD release of Akira Kurosawa's Ran. It also appears on a few trailers such as Twentynine Palms and Dear Wendy. The still variant appeared on the DVD release of Kurosawa: A Documentary on the Acclaimed Director. It is unknown if this logo appeared on theatrical releases.
