This is the production company of owners Howard West and George Shapiro, who both served as executive producers for Seinfeld.

Variants:

• On the 1994 prototype reel of NBC's split-screen credits (known as "NBC 2000"), a modified version of the logo is inside of the credits. The logo is much smaller (with the background filling the entire frame) with the show's logo and "PRODUCED FOR NBC BY..." above and "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" below.
• On original NBC broadcasts of Seinfeld episodes from 1994-1998, it uses the demo variant but now just reads "WEST/SHAPIRO PRODUCTIONS in association with".
• On the 2004 documentary The Seinfeld Story, the names are reversed and it reads "A SHAPIRO/WEST PRODUCTION in association with". The font here is also bolder.
• On TV Land reruns of Seinfeld, the text is shown in all uppercase on the network's on-screen credits alongside the logo.

Audio: The closing theme of Seinfeld or none.

Audio Variants:

• On one episode ("The Blood"), salsa music (itself playing in the scene where Kramer and Newman make sausages) plays over the logo. It continues into the Castle Rock Television logo.
• Another episode ("The Race") has Fidel Castro (voiced by Michael Sorich) telling George the story of when he was at a party ("Once, when I was at a party, I put my plate on someone's piano."). He continues into the Castle Rock logo.
• A few episodes of Seinfeld have the end theme continue into the Castle Rock logo.
• The Seinfeld episodes use the following audio variations other than the above variations:
  • The final season episode "The Merv Griffin Show" has the classic jazzy theme of the show mentioned in the episode's title, continuing into the Castle Rock logo.
  • The Seinfeld episode "The Pothole" has more echo when the closing theme plays. During the Castle Rock logo, we only hear Newman scream instead of the latter's regular audio.
  • The Seinfeld episode "The English Patient", a couple voices can be heard saying "Manilow, Manilow!" and they continue into the Castle Rock logo with more voices saying the same quote.
  • On the Seinfeld S8 episode "The Millennium", the end theme of the show plays normally but ends with a duck quacking once (albeit distorted).

Availability: Seen on Seinfeld. Reruns cut this logo out; however, this logo is intact on international airings and in home media. Also seen on the "Best of" Seinfeld 100th Episode VHS tape (released in 1995 as part of a promotion with General Mills). The Shapiro/West variant was seen only on The Seinfeld Story (the Seinfeld reunion special broadcast on November 23, 2004).
